Blog#2 The information I consume.

1.Assosiated Press 2.ABC world news 3.PBS NewsHour      These are my go-to because I don't notice bias within them, I can get information without it "siding" with one political view or agenda. I consider them very reliable because I can get information not only from where I live or within my bubble but around the world. They do not push an opinion on me. I am very concerned with what media people watch and consume considering it can make them believe something that isn't true in the slightest. I notice it even within my family especially when I see people getting all of their information off bias websites that just feed you what you want to hear. I learned how to fact check websites in my WR 121 class so now I am able to see what is and is not reliable or factual. I also discuss with the people around me and in my family on what they have learned and where they have gotten their information so that I can compare and contrast.

Blog#1: All about me.

My name is Kayla Maclin I am a student at Linn-Benton Community College. I am majoring in Surgical Technology. I am earning my associate's in general studies this year. I will be enrolling in the Surg Tech program this May. I have enjoyed playing volleyball since I was in 4th grade as well as love reading. My favorite book series being the "After" series. I unfortunately stopped playing sports in high school because of working a part-time job. I cannot wait to start my profession I will have the chance to help people and see people be helped in the OR. I cannot wait to learn about the manipulation tactics the media uses on us because I know they are very prevalent. I also cannot wait to talk about current events. I am very passionate about my family and my love for them. They are very important to me I have a very small family, and we are very close. I LOVE THEM!
